Cornerstone American Cocker Spaniels Contact

Some of our Cocker friends have asked about the change in the website, with Cornerstone Cockers changing to Spring Valley Cockers. In answer to this we share the following. (Excuse its length.)

Several months ago our families were in a great deal of duress when Elaine's dad became sick and ultimately bedfast. Lesa (being the good woman she is) was an integral part of his care--which actually involved the whole of the family. Not willing to put him in a care-home, it became an around-the-clock matter. The time Lesa was spending in her help with J.B. ultimately reached a point where the maintenance level that Cockers require, along with all the care-giving needs, became just too much. We decided to sell our Cockers. (We assumed the care for J.B. would extend over many months, perhaps years. We were wrong--to our grief, he passed much sooner than we expected.)

Before J.B. passed, however, we carried through on our decision to sell, sharing our Cockers with a good friend in Virginia--Jennifer Bond--as well as a few of our Cockers locally to another breeder-friend. Since Jennifer was first in line, Lesa hand picked some of our very best girls and one of our excellent males, and hand carried these, meeting Jennifer in Tennessee. Jennifer is now assuming our website, and I am updating it for her as I find time.

Jennifer Bond is an outstanding young woman, honest and good. She is in the "learning" stage now with the Cockers, and calls Lesa very often for advice. So, what you will see on the site--at least at this point--are Texas Cornerstone Cockers, transplanted in Virginia (we blindfolded them when we took them out of Texas :-) ... ) ...same stock, and even now, bred with a lot of Lesa's advice and counsel. In time, Jennifer will be very knowledgeable, but at this point, if you ask her a question, occasionally she may need to counsel with Lesa and get back with you. Just remember, she has the same excellently pedigreed stock that you expected from Cornerstone, and she lives by the same principles of fairness and honesty as do we.

We cherish the many friendships we have made through the years with the Cockers, and wish you all the very very best. Be good. Be kind. Be honest. Be fair. And don't forget to include God in your life. After all, He gave His only Son to die for our sinful ways. Remember, God's Book contains God's mind--and doing what God says will take us all to Heaven.
